Privacy Policy

Talkloom is a desktop application made by Feelians. It is designed so that we learn as little about you as possible.

Audio and transcripts

Recording, speech recognition and text insertion happen entirely on your computer. Audio and transcripts are never sent to us or to any third party. Temporary audio is deleted as soon as a transcription finishes.

What does leave your computer

• Model downloads. Speech models are fetched from our download server (or Hugging Face) when you choose to install them. Standard server logs (IP address, time, file) may be kept for up to 30 days.
• License activation. When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a device name to Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, to confirm the purchase. No audio or transcripts are included.
• Update checks. The app periodically requests a small metadata file to see whether a newer version exists. This request contains no personal data beyond your IP address. We count these requests on our server so that we know roughly how many copies are in use; what is stored is a salted hash of your IP address that changes every day, never the address itself, and nothing that identifies a device or a person. The app sends nothing extra for this.
• Problem reports. Only if you write one and press Send in Settings. It contains what you typed, the reply address you chose to give (optional), and a short environment block — app version, operating system, speech model, which settings are on, and how many vocabulary terms and snippets you have. It never contains transcripts, your license key, or the contents of your vocabulary or snippets. The application log is attached only if you tick that box, and the form shows you the log in full first; note that the log keeps a brief preview of each dictation. Reports are stored in our database (Neon, Singapore) and kept only as long as they are useful. We do not store your IP address with a report — only a salted, daily-rotating hash of it, used to stop one address flooding the form.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC. They collect the billing details needed to complete the transaction under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details to deliver the license and provide support.

Website

Talkloom itself contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. This website is separate: it uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading speed. Both are cookieless and aggregate — they set no identifier and cannot follow you to other sites. Clicking the download button goes through our own server so that downloads can be counted: we keep the release you were sent, the campaign link that brought you to the site if there was one, the referring site's hostname, and the same kind of salted, daily-rotating hash of your IP address — never the address itself. There is no advertising and no other third-party tracking script. The only cookie this site sets is the one that remembers the language you chose, and our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete the order information we hold at any time by emailing support. We will respond within 30 days.
